Florence Keller: the artist squared

Florence Keller: the artist squared

Florence KellerTrained at a school of fine arts, this painter truly departs from the ordinary. The resident of Castres employs a highly unusual style that has become her signature. Florence paints landscapes after her own fashion, using Indian ink on acrylic paint. Florence Keller’s canvases stand out for their dynamic geometry.  She offers us a new vision of buildings and metropolises. The artists plays with alternations between dense spaces and voids. Her landscapes are re-scaled and re-drawn in an original pictorial style. Viewers are drawn into this quasi-figurative world of squares and straight lines. Florence Keller did not hesitate to gift one of her pieces (Label Arnette) in homage to the Arnette, a river in Mazamet, in order to “put down [her] own roots”.
