The son of a blacksmith, Lionel began working with iron at the age of 14, in the South of France. His sculptures of all shapes and sizes are the fruit of ideas and inspiration. Once he begins a piece, the sculptor finds it impossible to stop before it is finished. With determination and persistence, he works the details until he successfully realizes his initial idea, before coupling ironwork with his art. For his colors, he uses auto body paint to add a contemporary touch. For commissions, he takes his clients’ core ideas and then develops the details in drawings. He sends his collectors photos to show them each step in the process. Lionel delivers his largest pieces throughout France and ships his sculptures and furniture to buyers the world over. He has participated in a variety of events, including international fairs, art markets and exhibitions, and at hotels, restaurants, conference venues, and more.
