The artist conceives of her pieces through precision work that is both technical and artistic. This unusual method for crafting art yields astonishing results. One by one, Sylvie is disproving preconceived notions about her chosen material, such as its longevity. You could just as easily image using it for hands-on objects as for works of art, not to mention human figures with varying expressions. The faces she creates display something of a lunatic character, given the way their expressions vary as the light falling on them shifts. Cardboard comes to life through technique and imagination.
