LOONY FISHES-----------------------------------
Playing with transparencies and bright colours, PatMoli's inspired fishes bring forth freshness and innocence. They suggest that the various solids, liquids and air are in fact not solid, liquid or gas, but are all derived from the same humorous and derisionary spirit. Most importantly it is the complicity with one's regard that brings such depth to the canvas.
Sociable or solitary, reassured or spooked, ethereal or accurate, they remind us that all life began in the ocean, in all shapes and forms; since the artist shapes these specimens on canvas as well as in sculpture.
