This painting is part of a series based on the cultural and artistic iconography of the indigenous people of Northwestern Argentina, reinterpreted with a contemporary esthetic. The figure in the center is that of a suri, a flightless bird similar to an ostrich, surrounded by other animal and geometric images of the Calchaquí and Diaguita peoples.
