Daredjane: Poetry at the tips of her fingers

DaredjaneSculpting earth, plaster and stone, Daredjane creates figures with elongated slender and clean lines. The French sculptor of Georgian heritage draws inspiration from this mix to make her sculptures into completely original works of art. The silhouettes of her figures all remind her of her origins. She “hints at herself in certain builds, certain faces…” Daredjane’s work has been exhibited in Paris, as well as in Tbilisi – in the country of her ancestors – in June 2006. Her show in Georgia marked a return to her roots and the fulfillment of a dream. Her latest exhibition to date was at Artexpo New York 2015. The artist sculpts from the heart and from her memories.
