Henrijean, looking good!

Henrijean, looking good!

Henrijean

“First, an observation: the existence of the canvas, of the canvas’s very visibility – if, and only if, it is reflected in the eyes of another. And whether that be the gaze of a spectator in a gallery, or another set of eyes in a different setting, is of very little import, at the end of the day. “From this simple condition emerges exchanges, the dialogue, conversions from conservation to conversation, until the viewer’s emotions are turned upside down, right there, in front of the painting…”

These thoughts of Henrijean reflect the sincerity with which he places his most intimate feelings and reflections on his canvases. Henrijean was born in Clermont-Ferrand in 1965 and graduated from the Clermont-Ferrand School of Fine Arts in 1990. He exhibits in Paris, Monaco, Clermont-Ferrand, Antwerp, London and, for seven years now, in Le Havre.
