BÉATRICE ALICE LAFITTE-IRIGARAY : THE POSITIVE’S STRENGHT

Béatrice Alice Lafitte-Irigaray, also known as B@TLI, has been enthusiastically painting since her early age and has been producing a joyful and lively work ever since. First influenced by her native region, south of Aquitaine, her inspiration has since then been sourced by many other countries. From Japanese and Maori cultures to comics, from classical painting to urban street art, the insatiable artist’s hand and eyes have been taking us to many different worlds.

While somewhat compartmentalized, the artist’s creative worlds always testify to a joy of living and an aspiration to well-being. This is the artist concept of Positive Art. Far from the stereotypes of artists whose creativity comes from suffering, Béatrice Alice Lafitte-Irigaray is inviting us to discover her smiling creativity: “I paint what I want and when I want to please myself and to give pleasure to others”.Optimism doesn’t necessarily translate into a naïve art. Entrepreneurial by nature, Béatrice Alice Lafitte-Irigaray has been working with companies, using their raw materials as a source of creativity. This process of transforming waste into art can be seen as a way to expiate internal chaos with lively colors mixing with raw materials. From April 19th to 22nd, Béatrice Alice Lafitte-Irigaray will exhibit in New York with Mecenavie. She will present her collection of women portraits whose proud beauty will surely inspire the visitor…Amazons, Pharaohs, or Berbers…Named Maskar’art, the collection is telling us that a positive attitude is not always visible externally, as would do a mask or make-up that would not be masquerade…
